What a FUN episode! First of all, I hope you liked the makeover! Secondly, I really hope you were entertained watching my family and the shenanigans between Ty, Brett, Joanie and I. It’s so nerve wracking having my family on the show because I was hoping my Mom loved the makeover and I also never know what is going to come out of her mouth. 🙂 I was also very grateful to have my sister by my side, in case anything went sideways (if you know what I mean)! Also, I seriously couldn’t believe Ty sent over a stripper for my mother. It’s pretty impossible to embarrass me, but of course Ty found a way. I literally tried to crawl out of that room, army style.

NOTES: The paint color is called Needlepoint Navy (SW-0032). I had the paint store blend it at 50% pigment, which means only 50% of the color pigment was added to the formula which is why it’s much lighter than the color you see on the paint fan.
The driftwood hanging shelves were courtesy of Trish. She LOVES to collect driftwood when she goes to the beach, so she let me grab a few for the project. Two drill holes, a rope and an airplant later and viola… inexpensive art! I also received a lot of questions about how I hung the $3.20 “blueprint” of the beach. I placed it between two pieces of acrylic I had cut in a nearby plastic manufacturer and was hung using metal “stand-offs”, which you can purchase HERE.
