IMPORTANT: Please read these Official Rules before entering the The Home Within Preorder Giveaway Pre-Order Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”), presented by Sourcebooks LLC (“Sponsor”). By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules. These Official Rules shall govern in the event of any inconsistency with other Sweepstakes-related materials.
NO PURCHASE OR PRE-ORDER NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PRE-ORDER WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED.
ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and of Canada (excluding Quebec), who are 18 years of age or older or have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, whichever is older, at time of entry. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial, and local laws and regulations. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, REGARDLESS OF METHOD OF ENTRY OR NUMBER OF PRE-ORDERS. Employees of Sponsor, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, retailers, and agencies, and their immediate family members and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes.
ENTRY PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 AM (PST) on Oct 15 and ends at 11:59 PM (PST) on Jan 5, 2027 (the “Entry Period”).
HOW TO ENTER
There are two ways to enter. Both methods of entry have equal standing and an equal chance of winning.
1) Pre-Order Entry: Pre-order a copy of The Home Within by Sabrina Soto in any format (print, ebook, or audiobook) from any retailer during the Entry Period. Then visit http://sabrinasoto.com/preorder-giveaway/ and complete and submit the entry form, including your name, email address, mailing address, and the retailer name and order/transaction number from your pre-order receipt. Entrants may be required to provide a copy of their receipt upon request to verify eligibility. Pre-orders that are canceled prior to fulfillment will remain eligible.
2) Free Entry (No Purchase or Pre-Order Necessary): Visit http://sabrinasoto.com/preorder-giveaway/ during the Entry Period and complete and submit the free entry form, including your name, email address, and mailing address.
In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address used for entry. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of automated devices will result in disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information by entrants; lost, late, misdirected, or postage-due entries or transmissions; interrupted or unavailable network, server, or other connections; scrambled transmissions or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, or electronic; technical malfunctions of any computer hardware, software, or any combinations thereof; or problems associated with any virus or any other damage caused to entrants’ systems. Sponsor is not responsible for any act or omission of any retailer in connection with a pre-order. Incomplete or illegible entries will be voided. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
Comments and/or submissions may not include obscene, offensive, or inappropriate (in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion) material or defame any person, or otherwise infringe on any person’s proprietary rights.
PRIVACY POLICY
All information submitted in connection with entry to this Sweepstakes shall be governed by Sponsor’s privacy policy at https://www.sourcebooks.com/privacy-policy.html. By entering this Sweepstakes, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this privacy policy.
PRIZE(S)
One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a private, 30-minute Zoom consultation with Sabrina Soto to reimagine a space in their home, plus a personalized shopping list from Sabrina and a $500 Boscov’s gift card. The grand prize will be awarded at publication on January 5, 2027. (Grand Prize Approximate Retail Value: US$750 / CA$1,050)
Five (5) Runner-Up Winners will each receive a box filled with Sabrina’s Favorite Things, shipped at publication, January 5, 2027. (Runner-Up Prize Approximate Retail Value: US$150 / CA$210)
Total Approximate Retail Value of all prizes: US$900. Actual value of prize may vary. No transfer or cash or other substitution of all or part of a prize is permitted, except by Sponsor, which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the prize or prize component with another of comparable or greater value. Any and all taxes on the prize will be the responsibility of the winners. Winners of a prize with an approximate retail value over US$600 who are U.S. residents will be required to provide a completed IRS Form W-9. Sponsor shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, postponements, substitutions, changes in services, damage in the delivery of the prize, and/or loss of any prize in connection with delivery of the prize via mail. In the event that there is an insufficient number of eligible entries, Sponsor reserves the right not to award the prizes.
WINNER SELECTION
1 Grand Prize Winner(s) and 5 Runner-Up Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing on or about Jan 5, 2027 from all eligible entries (Pre-Order Entries and Free Entries combined) received by the entry deadline. The odds of winning depend on how many eligible entries have been received. Winners will be notified via email and must respond to email notification within ten (10) days of receipt. Winners may also be required to complete, execute, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release. Before being declared a winner, any selected entrant who is a resident of Canada will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question. Noncompliance with these conditions may result in forfeiture of the prize, and Sponsor reserves the right to select alternate winners (in a random drawing from other eligible entries received before the deadline) in such circumstance. If winner notification of the prize is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate winner.
DISCLAIMERS/LICENSE
By competing in this Sweepstakes and/or accepting the prize, entrants agree that Sponsor, and its respective parent companies, assigns, subsidiaries and affiliates, and advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and all of their respective employees, officers and directors will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by entrants for any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to person and property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prizes, or participation in this Sweepstakes.
To the extent allowed by law, participation in the Sweepstakes in any way, or acceptance of, or participation in, any prize constitutes each entrant’s consent for, and grant of a non-exclusive, sub-licensable and assignable license to Sponsor to use, publish, post or display entrant’s name, social media handles, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, statements, as submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes, and prize information, regardless of whether altered, or used alone or with other material, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes in any medium now known or later discovered, worldwide and in perpetuity, without review or approval, and without further notice, payment, or consideration of any kind. All rights, consents and licenses granted to Sponsor under these Official Rules and/or any Affidavit of Eligibility and Release will survive the termination of this Sweepstakes.
RIGHT TO MODIFY OR CANCEL
Sponsor may cancel, suspend or modify the Sweepstakes or any part of it, in any way, if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that the Sweepstakes is not capable of executing as Sponsor intended, or that any error, omission, fraud, technical failure, tampering, computer virus, or other factor, technical or otherwise, beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control, impairs or may impair Sponsor’s ability to properly conduct the Sweepstakes, subject to any applicable law or regulation. In the event of any inconsistency between these Official Rules and any disclosure or other statement contained in any Sweepstakes-related materials, these Official Rules will govern.
DISPUTES
Any dispute arising from this Sweepstakes will be determined according to the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of law principles, and by entering, entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York County and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
