Honestly, part of why I put my surgery off for so Honestly, part of why I put my surgery off for so long was knowing I wouldn’t be able to do business as usual. I couldn’t just push through or figure it out on my own. And that terrified me more than the actual procedure.

What I didn’t expect was how vulnerable I’d feel, and how beautiful that vulnerability would become. Watching Nate show up for me in ways I literally couldn’t show up for myself (he is cleaning the gutters in this video, for instance) deepened us even more. He doesn’t announce it or wait for a thank you. He just shows up because he wants to make my life easier. And it wasn’t just him. My friends and family stepped in AND I actually let them.

Here’s the thing… I love helping people. That’s where so much of my joy comes from. But I never connected the dots that when I don’t let people help me, I’m taking that same feeling away from them. HELPING creates connection and I’d been blocking that connection by insisting I could handle it.

Turns out, being strong doesn’t mean doing everything alone. It means being brave enough to let someone love you through action, not just words.
Our honeymoon started in Florence and honestly, it Our honeymoon started in Florence and honestly, it was everything. Slowwww mornings (had to be as the city didn’t seem to wake up until after 9am) and getting completely lost down cobblestone streets in the best way possible.

One of the best decisions we made was not planning too much. We literally flew by the seat of our pants, which let us just explore and be present. And I swear, the most magical moments happened because of that.

When we got to Cortona, we hopped on a city bus and this older local woman could immediately tell we were American. Without saying a single word, she gestured for us to follow her into the city. She physically escorted us the entire way and it was the cutest thing because as we walked behind her, everyone in the shops kept coming out to say hi to her. Like, everyone knew her!! It felt like we were literally in a movie, being led through this ancient Italian town by the town’s beloved grandmother. And let me tell you, climbing those Cortona streets is no joke. It’s straight uphill and your legs will remind you about it the next day. But it’s so worth it! The views, the charm, the feeling of earning every single step.

We took day trips to Rome, soaked in the history, had way too many espresso breaks and just let ourselves feel small inside something so ancient and magical.
Opening your windows isn’t just about fresh air vi Opening your windows isn’t just about fresh air vibes (though that’s part of it). When you let outdoor air circulate through your home, you’re actually changing the air chemistry in ways science can measure. You’re flushing out carbon dioxide and indoor pollutants that build up when spaces stay closed for too long. High CO₂ and those volatile chemicals floating around? They slow down your brain, trigger headaches and mess with your sleep because your body is literally working harder just to breathe.

Studies show that ventilating a room by opening windows can significantly improve air quality and lead to better sleep and next-day function compared to keeping everything sealed up.

Even quick bursts of fresh air help flush out humidity, odors and airborne particles without spiking your energy bill.

If your space feels heavy or you can’t focus, try this before anything else: crack a window or door for a few minutes each day. Better air can feel like a total nervous system reset, and it costs you nothing.
Your bedroom sets the tone for your whole day. Not Your bedroom sets the tone for your whole day.
Not because it has to look perfect,
but because it’s where your body finally gets to slow down.
Clear one surface.
Soften the lighting.
Open the windows.
Small changes here ripple into everything.
Save this if you’re ready for calmer mornings and better sleep.
When I was in my 20’s, it wasn’t made clear to me When I was in my 20’s, it wasn’t made clear to me that I’d have to go through this again. OR Maybe I just wasn’t listening.

Regardless, I’ve been putting this off for too long and it’s finally time to take care of it! On my way @drpablosurgery

I don’t know why this feels so vulnerable to share, but you’re my people and thank you for always holding space for the real stuff 🤍
