It’s usually because the bedroom quietly becomes t It’s usually because the bedroom quietly becomes the place that gets handled last. And over time, your own space starts feeling less important than the rest of the house. After everything else has been taken care of. “make your bed” became overused advice on the internet but some explained it wrong. It has nothing to do with you trying to be perfect. When you’re constantly taking care of everyone around you, your own space starts feeling “less important.” But YOU see your bedroom twice a day.

Your nervous system sees it.
Your body feels it.

So no, making the bed won’t magically change your life. But it does quietly send a message to yourself before the day even starts:
“I’m worth taking care of too.”
Two minutes.
Start there.

If two minutes is enough to shift something, imagine what a day will do. The Home Within is the retreat I built for the woman who’s spent years pouring into everyone else. Come home to yourself. Link in bio.

But seriously, what do you think? Is bringing something non-negotiable or am I being dramatic? Are there rules, like you only have to bring something to a stranger’s house? Is family exempt?

This project was supposed to take me 15 minutes an This project was supposed to take me 15 minutes and somehow turned into me hot gluing moss to myself, the counter and half the succulents 🌿😂

How I made it:
• Cut small pieces of floral foam and hot glued them onto the driftwood
• Added moss to hide the foam
• Hot glued the succulents right on top
• Layered different sizes and let some trail naturally for a more organic look

A few tips if you’re using hot glue with succulents:
• Let the glue cool for a few seconds before attaching the succulent so it doesn’t burn the plant
• Add the glue to the moss or base of the succulent instead of the leaves
• Use lightweight succulents since heavier ones can pull away over time
• Mist lightly instead of overwatering since the roots aren’t planted in soil

Messy but cute.
Constantly overstimulated. Always “on.” Taking car Constantly overstimulated. Always “on.” Taking care of everyone else while quietly disconnecting. And eventually your body starts asking for something different. More connection. More peace.

That’s why I created this day for you.

A day to reset your nervous system, reconnect to yourself and remember what it feels like to truly exhale.

Beautiful food.Intentional conversations. Home, body, soul, healing, mindset, design, rest, connection.

If this post is hitting something in you, trust that feeling.

The version of you you’re trying to become probably wouldn’t keep putting herself last.
